Botanical Ink Making Workshop (1x Day Session)
Learn to make your own botanical inks from foraged plants and berries. We will go on a foraging walk where you will learn what plants you can use to make your own inks. We will collect some samples and return to my workshop where we will prepare and process our plants to make our very own ink. With a short session at the end of the day to experiment with the inks you have created.
Take away your own feather quill or bamboo pen and your very own pot of ink, made on the day.
Course Outline:
10.00am-12pm - Foraging walk for inks and plants. (Please note if weather doesn't permit a walk I will provide an indoor alternative).
12.30pm-2pm - Lunch (please let me know if any dietary requirements in advance)
2pm-4pm - Ink Making
4pm-5pm - Experiment with your freshly made ink
Location:
My house in Freshwater Bay, Isle of Wight (address provided on booking).
The foraging walk will be at a place of my choosing, most likely a short drive or walk away from my house. Location will be confirmed nearer the date of the workshop.
