Zoe's love of reading fairytales and her penchant for an old fashioned dip pen and ink inspire her to create quirky hand drawn illustrations.
Brought up on a small Scottish Croft in rural Aberdeenshire, Zoe has a degree in illustration from Dundee University's renowned Duncan and Jordanstone College of Art. Being cursed with a problematic book obsession (she has far too many children's books) lead her to a post grad in Publishing at the University of Plymouth. Following this Zoe worked as an illustrator and book designer at a London book publisher.
Zoe now works as a children's book illustrator, from her studio in the picturesque and inspiring Isle of Wight. She also now writes her own children's books and you can find out more about these here. Zoe has now published two children's picture books and a colouring book. She is now busy writing her first middle-grade novel, illustrated of course.
When not covered in black ink or with dip pen in hand, Zoe can most often be found drinking Earl Grey tea or obsessively knitting mittens. Although she sometimes has to fight with her cat 'Mouse' over ownership of the balls of wool. She also loves hula hooping (yes, a little random she knows) the fresh air and can often be spotted out and about in her red wellies walking her black lab ‘Wilson’.
Zoe is also the founder and creative director of Inkyeverafter Press.
